The Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS) announces that Eric Larson will conclude his service as Executive Director at the end of September 2026. As we prepare for this transition, we extend our sincere appreciation for his years of dedicated service and the many contributions he has made to the Society and organized dentistry in Illinois.

Update: We have a major advocacy win to share with Illinois dentists. Aetna has confirmed that it will not move forward with its planned changes to payment reimbursement methods for Illinois dentists at this time. This is the outcome ISDS has been working toward.

The changes will go into effect on January 1, 2027.

The Illinois State Dental Society Foundation is proud to announce its continued support for dental education in Illinois through the Dr. Keith and Peggy Dickey Dental Education Endowment Fund program. This year, the Foundation is funding three major projects at the state's dental schools, each aimed at improving student training, expanding access to care, and strengthening the dental workforce. $9,000 will be awarded to each school at this year's ISDS Annual Session.
