Come aboard for a Dinner Cruise you will never forget. This dinner cruise offers a special night out on the mighty Mississippi River, while traveling in style on the “Celebration Belle”. While dinner is a big part of this cruise, it doesn’t end there. After dinner, relax with our fully stocked bars and dance to the sounds of the Celebration River Cruises band and your dental friends!

Be sure to go topside and enjoy the evening air, gazing at the stars, and strolling the decks.

Opening Breakfast

ISDS President, Dr. John Kozal, will officially open the 162^nd Annual Session of the Illinois State Dental Society. Several society recognition awards will be announced at the opening breakfast including the Distinguished Member award, President’s Special Award(s), Component President Awards, Sullivan Membership Action Award, and a number of other service awards. The ISDS Foundation will also be announcing the Greek Leadership Award. 

ISDS House of Delegates

The legislative body of the Illinois State Dental Society is the House of Delegates. Dr. Chad Reedy, Speaker, will open the 162nd House of Delegates at 9:30 am on Friday, August 28^th. The House will meet again at 12:30 pm on Saturday, August 29^th. The house is composed of voting members, including each component’s certified delegates and alternates, one student member from each of Illinois’ three dental schools, Illinois dental school deans, and two dental hygiene delegates and an alternate. All members and guests may attend the House of Delegates.

Ambassador’s/President’s/Governor’s Club Luncheon
11:30am

Join the Ambassador’s Club, President’s Club and Governor’s Club members for this annual luncheon. Reception with a cash bar at 11:30 am and lunch 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Although this is a complimentary event for all President’s Club and Governor’s Club members, registration is required. Special guests will be speaking and the Chauncey Cross Outstanding Component Participation in DENT-IL-PAC award will be presented.

Reference Committee

Orientation: 1:15 – 1:45 pm

All ISDS members may participate in the policymaking process of the Illinois State Dental Society by giving testimony on resolutions going before the House of Delegates.

Hearings are scheduled at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 28th. All ISDS members are invited to participate in the policymaking process of the Illinois State Dental Society. During Reference Committee Hearings, members give testimony on submitted resolutions.

New Dentists Reception: 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Dentists 10 years or less out from graduation are invited to attend this reception. Light snacks and drinks provided. 

President’s Dinner Dance
6:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
$125 per person
Families and children are welcome. Children are complimentary.

Attire: Upscale Casual - What to Wear
The President’s Dinner Dance honors our president, Dr. John Kozal with a fun evening of dinner and dancing. Dinner will be composed of various stations and served from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Come whenever you'd like and sit wherever you want. Awards will be at 7:45, and the band will play from 8:00 - 11:00 pm.

Historical Tour of Peoria and Lunch at the Country Club of Peoria

Grab a quick refreshment in the ISDS Hospitality Room before boarding a bus for a tour of the city. Learn about Peoria's deep history as the former whiskey capital of the world, and enjoy "The World's Most Beautiful Drive." Lunch will be served at the historic Country Club of Peoria with breathtaking views of the Illinois River. 

10:00 am - 10:30 am – Refreshments in Lydia C (ISDS Hospitality Room)
10:30 am - 11:30 pm - Historical bus tour (pick up in front of the hotel)
11:30 am - 1:00 pm - Lunch at the Country Club of Peoria
1:00 pm - Head back to the Embassy Suites for the 2 pm installation

Wind down from another successful Annual Session with dinner and friends. Indulge in a variety of Lebanese food while listening to music by Andy Hatfield, two-time National Flatpicking guitar champion and National Mandolin champion.

First bus will leave the hotel at 6:00 pm, make a lap, and leave again at 6:30 pm. Return trips will be at 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm.
