How to Join – Dentists
We invite you to take advantage of the numerous members only programs and services offered through organized dentistry
and encourage your active involvement in the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS). As an ISDS member, you also become a
member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and your local dental society. This is known as a "tripartite membership."
Your support at all three levels makes organized dentistry a strong and effective advocate for the needs of dentists and
patients throughout the country.
As a group, members of ISDS are able to accomplish things that individual dentists cannot do alone. On your behalf,
the Board, committees and staff devote their time and energy to issues of importance to dentistry, including legislation,
regulations, peer review, public relations, continuing education and professional publications. There are a multitude of
reasons why you should join ISDS
There are several categories of membership
for dentists within ISDS. Dues are determined based on your membership category and your local dental society. To
find out what your dues would be, call ISDS at 217/525-1406. We will help you determine your membership classification
and provide you with accurate information on your dues.
To apply for membership, please print and complete the membership application
and send with a copy of your dental school diploma to the Membership Department at:
Illinois State Dental Society
P. O. Box 376
Springfield, Illinois 62705
For any questions regarding membership, please contact Kathy Ridley,
Director of Education and Membership at 217/525-1406.
