$175 per person includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, box lunch, 2 drink tickets, and lots of fun!

Panther Creek Country Club, 3001 Panther Creek Dr. Springfield, IL. Please join your friends and colleagues for fun on the golf course and support the Illinois State Dental Society Foundation. Registration and lunch begin at 11:00 am with a shotgun scramble beginning at 11:30 am.

ISDS President, Dr. Ken Rawson, will officially open the 159th Annual Session of the Illinois State Dental Society. Several society recognition awards will be announced at the opening breakfast including the Distinguished Member award, President’s Special Award(s), Component President Awards, Sullivan Membership Action Award, and a number of other service awards. The ISDS Foundation will also be announcing the Greek Leadership award.

ISDS House of Delegates

The legislative body of the Illinois State Dental Society is the House of Delegates. Dr. Chad Reedy, Speaker, will open the 159th House of Delegates at 9:30 am on Friday, September 22nd. The House will meet again at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 23rd. The house is composed of voting members, including each component’s certified delegates and alternates, one student member from each of Illinois’ three dental schools, Illinois dental school deans, and two dental hygiene delegates and an alternate. All members and guests may attend the House of Delegates.

Ambassador’s/President’s/Governor’s Club Luncheon

Join the Ambassador’s Club, President’s Club and Governor’s Club members for this annual luncheon. Reception with a cash bar at 11:30 am and lunch 12:00 – 1:00 pm, although this is a complimentary event for all President’s Club and Governor’s Club members, registration is required. Special guests will be speaking and the Chauncey Cross Outstanding Component Participation in DENT-IL-PAC award will be presented.

Reference Committee

Orientation: 1:15 – 1:45 pm

All ISDS members may participate in the policymaking process of the Illinois State Dental Society by giving testimony on resolutions going before the House of Delegates.

Hearings are scheduled at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 22nd.  All ISDS members are invited to participate in the policymaking process of the Illinois State Dental Society. During Reference Committee Hearings, members give testimony on submitted resolutions.

Spend an elegant evening with the Presidents, hosted by ISDS President Kenneth Rawson and his wife, Patrice, at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum (ALPM). Experience the Lincoln years, with two unique theater showings (7pm/9pm), and exclusive access to the exhibits and galleries. Arrive early to have a conversation and snap a picture with Honest Abe himself. Deep Hollow, a Midwest Americana acoustic trio, will perform original pieces and popular covers throughout the evening.

The museum is four blocks from the hotel. For guests who prefer it, a shuttle will run from 6:00-7:45pm, and 8:45-10:30pm. Pick up on Adams Street outside of the hotel. Drop off on 6th Street in front of the museum. A parking garage is also available on the corner of 6th and Madison Streets.  

Due to facility regulations, all guests must leave the museum by 10:00pm. No outside food or beverages can be brought onto the shuttle or into the museum.

Guest/Spouse Luncheon – Tour of Edwards Place/Mosaic Tile Painting / Lunch with Mary Todd

Immerse yourself in the Capitol City’s past as you travel north of city center to the Springfield Art Association, located in the quaint Enos Park Neighborhood, known in Lincoln’s day as the “jewel of Springfield.” Edwards Place, an Italianate mansion on the National Registry of Historic Places, is home to the Association, with its recently expanded artisan studios. Guests will enjoy a tour of the Edwards Place and collaborate to create a painted mosaic. No art skills required! Travel further north to the stately Brinkerhoff Mansion, also on the National Registry and recently re-opened to the Springfield community, where a delicious lunch buffet will be served. Special guest, Mary Todd Lincoln.
