4/1/2015 ISDS Dental Leaders Conference

Description: Plan to send your component, branch, or specialty group's incoming leaders/officers for an all-day "Dental Leaders" Conference and orientation. Formerly known as the "President-elect's Conference," the training has been expanded to include all incoming officers and leaders to help them in whatever role they serve. Description: Advancing the Power of Three! Make plans to participate in this annual event for staff and volunteers involved in dental society membership outreach efforts. The 2015 Conference is chaired by Dr. Michael Durbin, Council on Membership chair. Also participating and presenting will be Dr. Maxine Feinberg, ADA President. Registration for the one-and-a-half day Conference is $99 per person, including all breakout sessions, breakfast on Friday and Saturday and lunch on Friday. The conference Meet and Greet will be on Thursday, April 16, from 6-8 p.m. (dinner and drinks on your own). This course includes two hours of clinical experience on pit and fissure sealants and two hours on coronal polishing. 4/24/2015 Periodontics Review with Special Emphasis on Surgeries, Bone Grafting and Materials
Location: Cliffbreakers Rockford

Description: We will concisely review current methods in periodontal therapy. Topics will include initial examination, prognosis and treatment planning, as well as non-surgical and surgical therapies. When compared to other dental disciplines, treatment of periodontitis does not have clearly defined endpoints. This seminar will clarify and define treatment options, indications for various procedures and expected outcomes. Local factors that contribute to periodontal disease treatment and implant site preparation will be addressed. We will discuss salient characteristics of socket healing to better organize our choices in surgical materials.
