Dental Lab Tech Member : Why Join?
In 2001, the Illinois State Dental Society established a special membership category for Dental Laboratory Technicians.
The Dental Laboratory Technician must be a member in good standing of the Illinois Dental Laboratory Association (IDLA)
to be eligible for ISDS membership. Membership allows you to expand your network, stay abreast of changes in dentistry
in Illinois, and take advantage of ISDS insurance benefits. More importantly, your membership adds another voice to the
continuing discussions and cooperation between IDLA and ISDS.
ISDS Member Benefits
The opportunity to stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies and treatments within dentistry.
As an ISDS Dental Laboratory Technician Member you will be able to take advantage of the low registration fees that are
offered to ISDS members for all continuing education programs. You will also receive a $25 continuing education
voucher—giving you a dollar-for-dollar return on your investment.
ISDS-sponsored insurance programs, including major medical, disability, term life and business
overhead expense coverage. Individual approval is based on the carrier’s underwriting criteria.
A personal subscription to the Illinois Dental News. You’ll find out the latest news
regarding dentistry in Illinois via the Illinois Dental News. Non-members pay $45.00 annually for this publication,
which includes practice management articles, special features, and continuing education opportunities.
The Sourcebook and Directory of Members is a valuable book containing everything you to
know about the ISDS, including a profile of officers, committee chairs, continuing education opportunities, member
benefits, phone numbers for important government agencies, and a current list of all members.
General information assistance. If you have a question, we will help you find the answer.
Just call ISDS and let us do the work for you. Often, if we don’t know the answer we can refer you to someone who does.
Certification of membership and personal information card for your convenience when registering for
ISDS sponsored events.
If you are an IDLA member and wish to become an ISDS dental laboratory technician member, complete the
