Waste Disposal Requirements

Waste disposal requirements for dentists are regulated by the Illinois Environmental Agency. Dentists must dispose of their waste in accordance with the following requirements issued by the Department. If you have questions, call the Department at 217/785-9407.

• Special Requirements for Small Generators of Potential Infectious Medical Waste (PIMW)
• Permitted PIMW Transporters
