Alliance of the Illinois State Dental Society

Spouses of Illinois State Dental Society member dentists are invited to join the Alliance of ISDS. The Alliance supports the Society through numerous worthwhile projects that promote and encourage good oral health habits. The national organization, the Alliance of the American Dental Association, proudly states that it is "the dental organization dedicated to the dental family," a theme that clearly resounds throughout Illinois' Alliance activities.

The Alliance is active at both the state and local levels with:

  • Available in English and Spanish, the "Taking Care of Little Smiles" brochure on how to care for smiles from birth to age 8. Order online or print and complete the form.
  • It's Not Tooth Early and It's Not Tooth Late," an oral health educational program for new moms and moms-to-be.
  • Baby Bottle Tooth Decay Cards (English and Spanish)
  • Delivery of oral health kits to the Illinois General Assembly
  • Community outreach

Furthermore, on the legislative front, Alliance members actively help their spouses organize fundraisers to support local, state and national political candidates. Their dedicated legislative involvement strengthens the "grassroots" efforts that fortify dentistry's relationships with state legislators and national congressmen.
