Regional Dental Testing Boards
CRDTS
The Central Regional Dental Testing Service, Inc. (CRDTS) is a testing service
made up of 12 State Boards of Dentistry that have joined forces to develop
and administer fair, valid and reliable examinations of competency to practice
dentistry and dental hygiene.
The members of CRDTS are the state boards of Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas,
Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin,
and Wyoming. CRDTS began in the late 1960’s.

SRTA
The Southern Regional Testing Agency (SRTA) is a testing agency comprised of the following member State Boards of Dentistry:
Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. An SRTA candidate’s scoring record is
automatically sent to those State Boards.

WREB
In June 1977, the first exam was given under the auspices of the Western Regional Examining Board (WREB) in Oregon. The following
State Boards of Dentistry are members of WREB: Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington
and Wyoming.
