Dr. LuAnne McClean, President ISDS Foundation
Dr. McClean is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and maintains a private practice in general dentistry in Quincy. Dr. McClean has been involved in organized dentistry for many years at all levels. She is past president of the T.L. Gilmer Dental Society and has been a delegate and an alternate to the ISDS House of Delegates. In addition, Dr. McClean is past president of the Central Illinois Academy of General Dentistry and the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry. She is a fellow in the International College of Dentists and an alternate delegate to the ADA House of Delegates. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Student Dental Association and a member of the ADA Practice Management Committee. Dr. McClean is volunteers for the Adams County Health Department Dental Clinic and member of the Health Department Dental Clinic Task Force. She is an ISDS Foundation Benefactor. She also serves as chair of the Executive Committee and is a member of the Dentists Support Program Committee. |

Dr. Joseph F. Hagenbruch, Vice President
Dr. Hagenbruch is past president of ISDS. He is a graduate of Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis and maintains a private practice in general dentistry in Harvard. For many years Dr. Hagenbruch has been heavily involved in organized dentistry at all levels through membership and extensive service in a number of organizations. Dr. Hagenbruch has served as a delegate or alternate delegate with the ISDS, ADA, and AGD. He serves on various committees or councils within the McHenry County Dental Society, ISDS, ADA, and AGD. He is a fellow in American College of Dentists, the academy of General Dentistry, the Odontographic Society, the Academy of Dentistry International and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. In his community he was instrumental in helping establish the McHenry County Cooperative Dental Clinic which provides care for the indigent, working poor, and Medicaid populations. Dr. Hagenbruch is an ISDS Foundation Benefactor. He also serves as a member of the Executive Committee and the Bylaws Committee. |

Dr. Darryll L. Beard, Trustee
Dr. Beard is a 1983 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Beard is a general dentist in private practice in Waterloo. He served as president of the St. Clair District Dental Society in 1991 and 2002. He has served on Peer Review and Legislative committees as well as East St. Louis Steering Committee for Oral Cancer. Dr. Beard has served as delegate to both the ISDS and the ADA House of Delegates. He is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists. In his community, Dr. Beard has worked with the Monroe County Unit of the American Cancer Society, Chamber of Commerce, Waterloo Sports Association, and the Waterloo High School basketball program. He has served on the Endowment Committee, Search Committee, Building Committee, Youth Group Leaders and board of directors of his church, including board president. Dr. Beard is an ISDS Foundation Benefactor. He is also a member of the Foundation’s Bylaws Committee and Dental Student Research Committee. |

Dr. Susan Bordenave-Bishop, Trustee
Dr. Bordenave-Bishop is a graduate of the Washington University School of Dental Medicine. She also holds a B.S. in Nursing from Loyola University and a B.S. in Medical Technology. Additionally, she has completed Fellowship and Mastership Awards from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Dr. Bordenave-Bishop practices general dentistry in private practice and is Dental Director of the Peoria City/County Health Department. She is a past president of the Peoria District Dental Society and the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry. Currently, Dr. Bordenave-Bishop is president of the Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. She has served as a delegate and alternate delegate to the ADA, ISDS, and AGD House of Delegates. She is also a fellow of the AGD, the American and International Colleges of Dentists, and the Academy of Dentistry International. Dr. Bordenave-Bishop is a Foundation Benefactor. She also serves as chair of the ISDS Foundation’s Dental Student Research Committee, and is a member of the Executive Committee, Awards Committee, Continuing Education Committee, Dentists Support Program Committee, and Fundraising Committee. |

Dr. Robert E. Dennison, Trustee
Dr. Dennison is the President and CEO of Delta Dental of Illinois and a member of the DDIL Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of Directors of TruAssure Insurance Company (TAIC), and Pyramid Business Services, Inc (PBSI) Board of Directors as Chairman of the Board. TAIC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Dental of Illinois and PBSI is a joint venture with Delta Dental of Iowa. He is also a member of the Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA) and DeltaUSA Boards of Directors. In the past, he has served on DDPA’s Technology Committee, Audit and Finance Committee, Strategy and Business Development Committee and chaired the Dental Policy Committee. His prior experience includes serving in leadership roles with Delta Dental of Illinois (chief operating officer, vice president professional relations, dental director and dental consultant). Dr. Dennison practiced dentistry for 13 years and taught business statistics at Eastern Illinois University. Dr. Dennison has a DMD degree from Southern Illinois University’s School of Dental Medicine and an MBA from Eastern Illinois University. He is a member of the ISDS Foundation‘s Fundraising Committee. Dr. Keith W. Dickey, Trustee
Dr. Dickey currently serves as president of the Illinois State Dental Society. He received his undergraduate education at Indiana State University and his dental degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. He completed his MBA at Southern Illinois University. Besides his full-time appointment as associate professor, director for Continuing Education and Alumni Services and section head of Practice Management at SIU-SDM, Dr. Dickey maintains a private practice of general dentistry in East Alton, IL. He has served as president of Madison District Dental Society, delegate and alternate to the ISDS House of Delegates, member of the DENT-IL-PAC Governor's Club, and member of ISDS Committees on Dental Auxiliary Education, Duties of Dental Auxiliaries in Illinois. In addition, Dr. Dickey has served as delegate and alternate to the ADA Annual Session and served organized dentistry through numerous other ADA positions. Dr. Dickey is a Foundation Benefactor. He also serves as chair of the Continuing Education Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee, Bylaws Committee, Fundraising Committee, Scholarship Committee, and serves as Dental School Liaison to SIU/SDM. |

Dr. David P. Kumamoto, Trustee
Dr. Kumamoto is a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dental Medicine. He is a clinical associate professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry Department of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Kumamoto has been active in all levels of organized dentistry throughout his career. He is president-elect to the Chicago Dental Association, and has served as a delegate to the ISDS and ADA House of Delegates, as president of the Academy of Sports Dentistry. Dr. Kumoamoto is Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, and the American College of Dentists. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the International Federation of Sports Medicine. Dr. Kumamoto is a Foundation Benefactor. He is a member of the Continuing Education Committee and serves as Dental School Liaison to UIC College of Dental Medicine. He has presented numerous continuing education courses on the topic of Sports Medicine. |

Dr. Dean Nicholas, Trustee
Dr. Nicholas is past president of ISDS. He is a graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry and currently practices general dentistry in Villa Park. Dr. Nicholas has been active at all levels of organized dentistry, including holding the offices of chair, vice chair, secretary on the Course Committee of the Chicago Dental Society, president of the West Suburban Branch, as well as program chair and clinic night chair. He has also served as an alternate to the ISDS House of Delegates and is a member of the Governor’s Club. He has served on the ADA Council on Dental Benefits, College of DuPage Advisory Board for Hygiene and is a fellow in the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. In his community, he is a member of the Villa Park Rotary, the local Chamber of Commerce and Little League sponsor. Dr. Nicholas is a Foundation Benefactor. He also is a member of the Awards Committee and the Scholarship Committee. |

Ms. Elaine Pesavento, Trustee
Ms. Pesavento is a certified public accountant and managing director, vice-president, secretary and shareholder of Pesavento & Pesavento, Ltd., Certified Public Accountant. She is a 1977 gradate of Loyola University (Chicago), earning her CPA designation in 1978, and her Master of Science in Taxation from DePaul University in 1985. Ms. Pesavento is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, the American Woman's Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Academy of Dental CPAs, the National Association of Healthcare Consultants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She is also involved with the Gillette Hayden Memorial Foundation, a woman's dental organization established in 1930 and assists the organization with record-keeping, fund tracking, and preparation of financial statements for their annual meeting. Mr. Jerry Ragle, CDT, Trustee
Mr. Ragle owns and operates Ragle Dental Laboratory, Inc. of Champaign, IL, which was established in 1979 and employs a staff of 24. Mr. Ragle is active in state and national organizations, including the Illinois Dental Laboratory Association (IDLA). He has held every office including interim executive director for the association. Mr. Ragle serves on the Coordination Board of the Cal Lab Group, is a past trustee of National Association of Dental Laboratories (NADL), and is on the Communications Advisory Board for the Journal of Dental Technology (JDT). He has Mastership recognition in the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP) and holds certification in Ceramics and Crown and Bridge with the National Board of Certification (NBC). Mr. Ragle also served on the ISDS committee that updated the Guidelines for Dentist/Dental Laboratory Relations, which was adopted by the ADA and NADL. He is a member of the Continuing Education Committee, Dental Student Research Committee, and the Fundraising Committee. Ragle Dental Laboratory, Inc. is a Benefactor to the ISDS Foundation. |

Dr. Debra Schwenk, Trustee
Dr. Schwenk is Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs at Southern
Illinois University School of Dental Medicine (SIU SDM), her alma mater, where she has taught full-time for nine years and part-time for ten years. In her role as assistant dean for Clinical Affairs, she manages all aspects of the clinic. Previous to her full-time teaching commitment, she owned her own general practice in Alton, Illinois. She also received a Master’s in Public Administration from SIUE in 2003. She is an active member of numerous dental organizations besides the ADA and the ISDS, including the American Dental Education Association. She was recently inducted into the American College of Dentistry and the International College of Dentistry. Other honors she has received include the Women of Distinction Award for community service through the YWCA and the Vernice E. Walter Outstanding Student in Gerontology Award. Dr. Schwenk pursues her dedication for community service through membership in the Alton Wood River Zonta Club, an international women’s service club. She is a Foundation Benefactor and serves as a member of the Awards Committee and the Dental Student Research Committee.

Dr. Teri H. Steinberg, Trustee
Dr. Steinberg is a 1997 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. She is involved in organized dentistry on the component, state, and national levels. She has served her component, CDS, on the New Dentist Committee, Membership Committee, Midwinter Meeting course division and is currently president of the North Side Branch of the CDS. She is president of the Independent Dental Organization. On the state level she has served as delegate to the Illinois State Dental Society House of Delegates and is immediate past chair for the ISDS New Dentist Committee. She serves on the Council for Dental Practice for the American Dental Association and is a member of ADA subcommittees on Parameters and Life Long Learning, Ergonomics and Disability Support and Evidence Based Dentistry Committees. |

Dr. Larry Tschopp, Trustee
Dr. Tschopp graduated with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois. His first career was in semiconductor research and development. He received his DDS degree from Indiana University and is a general dentist in private practice in Savoy. He is past president of the Illini District Dental Society and served in all official positions. In addition, he has served on the ISDS Board of Trustees and as a delegate and alternate to the ISDS House of Delegates and the ADA House of Delegates. He also has served as a member of the Parkland College Dental Advisory Board. Dr. Tschopp is past director of the Champaign-Urbana Kiwanis Little League Baseball Program and introduced the peanut League Baseball Program. He has also served as an officer of the Tolono United Methodist Church and is a member of the Tolono Masonic Lodge. Dr. Tschopp is a Foundation Benefactor. He also serves as chair of the ISDS Foundation’s Scholarship Committee and is a member of the Continuing Education Committee and the Dental Student Research Committee. |

Dr. John Williams, Trustee
Dr. Williams is past president of the Illinois State Dental Society. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Dr. Williams is a general dentist in private practice in Moline. He is a past president of the Rock Island District Dental Society and serves as a spokesperson designate for this area. He is a delegate in the ISDS House of Delegates and has served as both delegate and alternate to the American Dental Association House of Delegates. Dr. Williams is a fellow in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. In his community, he is on the local medical center dental staff and on the Board of Directors for the John Deere Classic golf tournament. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Public School Foundation, Blackhawk College Advisory Board, the Arrowhead Ranch (for wayward boys), and the Rock Island County Board of Health. He is chair of the Fundraising Committee. |
