Continuing Education
In Illinois, licensed dentist and dental hygienists must fulfill a mandatory continuing education requirement according to state law.
Continuing education is offered to all members and staff at little cost through
seminars. Topics are selected to enhance and update our members’ formal
education. Other courses are available throughout the state through local components,
dental schools, dental hygiene schools and ADA CERP approved sponsors.
Continuing education is mandatory in the state of Illinois for a licensed dentist and dental hygienist. The Rules administering the Dental Practice Act explains in detail all the requirements for continuing
education hours and approved sponsors of continuing education.
